InCar Group attends Commonwealth Business Forum 2009

InCar Group attended the Commonwealth Business Forum, held in Port of Spain, Trinidad from November 23 to 26, as sole delegates from Suriname. The 2009 Commonwealth Business Forum was held as part of the 2009 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Trinidad & Tobago and attracted over 1,000 business and government leaders from over 50 countries.

The Forum promotes practices and policies for the enhancement of global trade and investment. It provides new opportunities for business networking and partnerships, drawing on the Commonwealth’s comparative advantage in areas such as services, information and communications technology, banking and financial services, manufacturing, agriculture and natural resources.


The Commonwealth Business Forum 2009 was opened by Trinidad & Tobago Prime Minister Patrick Manning and included speakers such as: HE Kamalesh Sharma (Commonwealth Secretary General), Prof. Joseph E. Stiglitz (2001 Nobel Prize Winner for Economics), Rt. Hon. Mohd Najib Abdul Razak (Prime Minister of Malaysia), Mr Rahul Bajaj (Chairman Bajaj Auto), The Hon Tillman Thomas (Prime Minister, Grenada), Michael Mansoor (Chairman, First Caribbean Bank), Suhas Gopinath (Chief Executive Officer, Globals Inc.), Chandrajit Banerjee (Director General, CII), Vijay Eswaran (Executive Chairman & CEO , QI Ltd), Amb Luis Fernando Andrade Falla (Secretary General, Association of Caribbean States) and The Rt. Hon. Hubert Alexander Ingraham (Prime Minister, The Bahamas).
